Cambridge City Korfball 2008

History

The word 'Korf' is simply Dutch for 'basket'. Korfball is the exciting mixed team sport that is increasing in popularity throughout the world. The sport was the brainchild of Dutch school-teacher Nico Broekhusen, who founded Korfball back in 1875, creating a game that boys and girls in his school could play together on equal terms.

Cambridge City Korfball Club was founded in 1993. We now have around 50 team members playing in our five teams in the three divisions of the Cambridgeshire League. The season runs from October to April, and during the summer we take part in tournaments, both in Cambridge and around the country.
