First defence: Phil, George, Christine, Rose
Subs: Vanessa (for Kamila), Rob N (for Cam), Yan (for Andy L)

A hard played battle which was a lot closer than the score line reflects. Everyone playing well and improving on the last performance against Phoenix 3.

First half saw Phil score a nice close up shot and Ellie an awesome running in shot, Phoenix managing to drop in 7 goals though including one penalty. Taking the half time score to 2-7. Vanessa came on for Kamila part way through the first half due to injury (hope the recovery is quick!).

Second half City upped their game scoring a fantastic 3 further goals, Cam scoring a quick running in shot off Ellie straight from the whistle (caught them napping) and Phil plopped two great long shots in.

Unfortunately, Phoenix scored another 5, taking the final score to 5-12.

But the second half was a lot closer. Rob came on for Cam and Yan for Andy, giving some much needed fresh legs and energy into the latter stages of the game.

Great effort by all, especially George who had the un-envious task of marking the tall Etienne for the entire game!
