Result

Tigers 4 2 - 9 City 3

Date: 06/12/2009

Venue: Perse School for Boys

Report:

First attack: Jonathan, Dave W, Mel, Rose
First defence: Cameron, Andy L, Christine, Kamila
Subs: Rob N (for Dave W half way through second half

Great effort by all, as City 3 stepped up the pace against a fairly inexperienced Tigers 4. City comprised a mix of players from City 2 and more of the regular City 3 squad due to the multitude of games early
that day.

First half saw City go 1-0 from a medium distance shot from Rose. Jonathan then capitalised on a foul scoring his penalty taking City to 2-0. Another foul down the other end brought Kamila up to the penalty spot for a very clean quality penalty and it was 3-0. Tigers managed to salvage one goal before half time bringing the score to 3-1

The second half built on our lead, Dave W quickly scored his signature long shot and then Jonathan out ran his player (again!) to score a lovely running in shot bringing the score to 5-1. Rob came on for Dave
cementing the defence. Cam slotted in a child like short shot, having wrong sided his player (6-1). Then Andy shot a perfect long one to bring City to 7-1. Jonathan again beat his player with a running in shot
(8-1). Then Tigers scored off a free pass 8-2. Kamila finished thescoring for the day with a short shot 9-2.

A very respectable score line against a sometimes confusing opposition!

There were a lot of free passes and penalties given, although most in our favour thankfully! Andy and Cam need to work on their communication and could have scored several more if the right direction had been chosen!!

We have a new found quality penalty taker in Kamila! Thanks to the City 2 players who slummed it with us but hope you enjoyed the dynamic quality of City 3 :)

Thanks to all, especially Ellie, who subbed on the bench for the entire game and will no doubt start the next game (Cam still feels guilty!)
