In their final match before Christmas, City 1 triumphed against Knights 2 by 13 goals to 10.  City made a magnificent start, easing to 7-0 up after 20 minutes thanks to some controlled play, accurate shooting and remorseless defence.  The lead slipped to 7-3 at half time, and during the second half City held at least a 3 goal lead throughout, although things got a little nervy when 13-8 became 13-10 with 5 minutes to go.

There were excellent performances from Lucy Birch (virtually on one leg), Lucy Harrison (SERL 1 debut), Jack McNamara (City debut) and Janine Collier (who played most of the match with a broken finger).
