SEERL 2 v Norwich Ice

For Cambridge City 2 playing two matches back to back was always going to be hard work. The first match was the toughest against Norwich Ice.

A close game but City 2 never really clicked in this match and were always chasing the game.

During the 2nd half Simon Mc subbed on for Dave W and, although controlling the post, the goals weren't sinking. City defended hard, but it wasn't enough and Ice won with the final score at 8-5.

The second match of the afternoon and Cambridge City 2 had only 5 mins rest before playing another hour's match. Phil joined the starting line up as our "fresh pairs of legs".

In the first half Cambridge City 2 took a comfortable lead over Norwich City who, although had pace and height advantage over our boys, their inexperience and poor passing mean that we were able to make lots of intercepts and disrupt their play. Phil converted a penalty and Nick scored 5 goals. A convincing win which was reflected in the 9-14 score.
