City 1 had a mixed day of korfball playing in the first round of the EKA Cup. The opening match against MK Bucks turned out to be a demolition job, with City playing some free-flowing korfball and displaying a killer instinct to win 17-3 in only 40 minutes. While Nick led the scoring with 6 in little over 20 minutes, most of the team got on the scoresheet.

City 1 versus Trojans 2

In the second match against an experienced Trojans 2 team, City made a lamentable start and were 5-0 down at half time. A much improved second half meant the final score was 11-5, but the match highlighted plenty of scope for improving the scoring under pressure. As Trojans 2 had also given MK Bucks a good thrashing, they go through to the next round.
