A superb opening victory for City who played several recent recruits to the club playing their first competitive indoor league match.  The team were asked to put into practice some moves we had been doing in training and I was delighted with the effort everyone showed.  University were a girl short so we loaned Christine to them for the game.

City were quick out of the blocks and quickly established a 4-1 lead - including a trademark training move whilst running in from Kamila and also a running in shot from John E.  University did peg one back before half time to trail 2-4 at the break.

City slightly lost their way in attack in the second half but still retained firm control of the game.  A penalty was converted from John R to stretch the lead again to three goals.  This could have been a four goal lead but unfortunately John R failed to convert a second penalty.

Overall a very pleasing performance by everyone.
