Teams and Players

SEERL 1

City 1 plays in the South East England Regional League (SEERL), a league formed this season, including teams from Cambridgeshire, Norwich and Kent.

 

SEERL 2

City 2 plays in the South East England Regional League (SEERL), a league formed this season, including teams from Cambridgeshire, Norwich and Kent.

 

City 1

City 1 plays in Division 1 of the local Cambridgeshire League. Made up of experienced korfballers, the team is one of two dominating forces in the league. City 1 finished second in the league in the 2008/09 season, and was the title holder the previous year.

 

City 2

City 2 also plays in Division 1 of the local Cambridgeshire League, having been promoted from Division 2 in 2005/2006. The team is a mix of new and experienced players and acts as a feeder team for City 1. Since its promotion City 2 has been performing well in Division 1, finishing in fifth place in the 2006/07 season and the 2007/08 season, and third in the 2008/09 season.

 

City 3

City 3 plays in Division 2 of the Cambridgeshire League. This team consists of serious players and recreational members. City 3 just missed the promotional play-offs for Division 1 in the 2007/08 and 2009/09 seasons.

 

City 4

City 4 plays in Division 2 of the Cambridgeshire League. This team consists of serious players, recreational members and beginners.

 

City 5

The Cambridge Development League was introduced in the 2006/2007 season to aid the transition of new players into the local leagues, and to enable clubs to play experienced people with youths, beginners and/or those with korfing potential. City 5 plays in Division 3 of the local league and won the (development) league in its first two years of competition.
